BEAR ON ICE shows a summer day in the life of nine-year-old Pippa. She and her dad live in a trailer on a big gravel pit. Each morning, Pippa tunes into the police radio, hoping to catch any lead on her missing dog, Pepper. She’s convinced Pepper has fallen victim to a crime. With determination, persistence, and a stack of missing dog reports, she sets out to save her fluffy companion. This marks the beginning of an absurd quest, during which Pippa encounters the eccentric residents of her neighborhood.
